Cardsharing is a method of distributing a satellite television signal over the Internet. It allows users to access encrypted satellite TV channels. This uses a shared encrypted key, which is usually provided by the cardsharing server. Our service has been providing this service to clients since 2010!

The operating principle of this method is based on the use of special software and a conditional access card (Conditional Access Module, CAM), which is inserted into the satellite receiver. It contains information for decoding the television signal. The cardsharing server, to which satellite receivers of other users are connected, decrypts the signal and transmits it via the Internet. In our articles we have already said, how to set up cardsharing.

Thus, users who are connected to the cardsharing server can access pay satellite TV channels without having to purchase their own conditional access card. The clients who used our services were convinced of this!

Cardsharing tests may include the following components:

  1. Satellite receiver. This is a device that receives a satellite television signal and decodes it. The receiver must be connected to the Internet to access the cardsharing server;
  2. Conditional Access Card (CAM). It can be original, if issued by a satellite television operator, or a card used in cardsharing;
  3. Server. It decrypts the secure signal of television channels and transmits it to users over the Internet. The server usually uses special software that allows you to manage user access and process requests to view specific channels;
  4. Client. We are talking about users who are connected to a cardsharing server and gain access to secure TV channels. They must have a satellite receiver and an Internet connection to receive the decrypted signal.

Advantages of cardsharing

Cardsharing has a number of advantages, which contribute to its growing popularity. Among them are:

  • Access to pay TV channels. Thanks to this method, it becomes possible to watch satellite channels without having to purchase your own conditional access card or subscribe to paid services from television operators;
  • Reduced costs. This is cheaper than the official ways to access paid channels. Users can share the cost of the card and connection to the server with other viewers;
  • More channels available. This method provides access to a larger number of television channels compared to the custom package offered by the satellite television operator.

These benefits can be felt if you receive free cardsharing from us.

Get a trial period

Our service provides the opportunity to get a free card sharing test. The client will be able to verify the quality of the service we provide! If everything goes well, then you can connect cardsharing for permanent use. Available tariffs and packages can be found in the section Packages our site.

At the same time, you can connect to free cardsharing by finding your login and password on specialized forums. But such methods are unlikely to last long and provide stable picture quality. Therefore, we recommend not to save money, but to start using paid cardsharing services with us, especially since the cost of most packages does not exceed $1 per month. If you have any questions during setup, our consultants are ready to answer them.

Practical checklist for smooth viewing

Even the best CCCam or OSCam line needs two or three simple preparations. Update your receiver firmware, reset the ECM cache once a week and keep 15–20% free space on the USB stick or internal flash so that the reader can store keys without delays.

When tuning a dish, aim for MER/BER reserve: a two‑degree offset or a loose F‑connector often causes the “freezing” that users blame on cardsharing. Keep a short patch cord to test alternative routers, and save two profiles in OSCam — one for TCP, one for UDP — so you can switch instantly if your ISP starts filtering a protocol.

Utgard.tv monitors each hub 24/7, but you can speed up diagnostics by keeping a short log of your receiver actions. Note the time when you changed the channel, which CAID was active and whether you used Wi‑Fi or Ethernet. This tiny “journal” helps engineers reproduce your environment in the lab and return with a solution in minutes instead of hours.

  • Keep two line slots enabled: if the first server hits a maintenance window, the second one instantly takes over without re-entering credentials.
  • Run a monthly speed and latency test. Stable 1–2 Mbps with ping <80 ms is enough for SD/HD, but if jitter exceeds 20 ms, switch the router to wired mode.
  • Save the Utgard.tv status page and Telegram bot @utgard_tv_bot to bookmarks — they publish maintenance notices before SEMrush or uptime monitors raise alerts.
